About me

I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, emphasizing culturally attuned approaches in counseling and psychological assessments.

My postdoctoral advanced training was completed at the University of California, San Francisco, and at the VA Palo Alto. During this time, I provided services to clients of all ages.

I am board-certified in geropsychology and have advanced specialized training in treating older clients.

I am also the Director of the Berkeley CBT Clinic and the Older Adult Counseling and Psychological Services Programs, clinics within the Wright Institute Clinical Services. As the director I oversee a talented group of counselors in training.

My approach is person-centered, and individualized to the unique needs of those who seek a clear and comprehensive road to well-being and a meaningful life. I have expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills training.

As a first-generation Korean American with an immigrant background, my journey to healing from intergenerational wounds has been profound and deeply personal. I will take you on a similar journey of wonder, awe, dedication, and respect.
